Organization Settings

Manage your team and organization settings through the TerraScale Dashboard.


Navigate to Organization in the sidebar to access team management features.


The Members page displays all team members with:

Member has accepted the invitation and can access resources.

  • Full access based on assigned role
  • Appears in member list with active status

Owner

Full access including billing, organization deletion, and all administrative functions.

  • Manage billing and subscriptions
  • Delete the organization
  • Transfer ownership
  • All Admin permissions

Admin

Administrative access to databases, API keys, and team members.

  • Invite and remove members
  • Change member roles (except Owner)
  • Create and delete databases
  • Manage all API keys

Member

Standard access to create and manage resources.

  • Create databases
  • Generate API keys
  • Manage own resources
  • Cannot manage team members

Read-only

View-only access to all resources.

  • View databases and data
  • View API keys (not secrets)
  • Cannot create or modify resources
  • Cannot manage team

*Admins cannot change Owner role or promote to Owner.


Click “Invite Member” from the Organization page.

Click “Send Invitation” to email the invite.

  1. Invitee receives an email with a link
  2. They click the link to accept
  3. If they don’t have a TerraScale account, they’ll create one
  4. Once accepted, they appear as Active in the member list

Invitations expire after 7 days. To resend:

  1. Find the pending member in the list
  2. Click the menu icon
  3. Select “Resend Invitation”

To change a member’s role:

  1. Find the member in the list
  2. Click the menu icon (three dots)
  3. Select “Change Role”
  4. Choose the new role
  5. Click “Save”

Restrictions:

  • Cannot change your own role
  • Cannot change the Owner’s role
  • Admins cannot promote to Owner

To remove a member:

  1. Find the member in the list
  2. Click the menu icon
  3. Select “Remove Member”
  4. Confirm the action

What happens:

  • Member loses access immediately
  • Their API keys remain active (revoke separately if needed)
  • Resources they created remain in the organization

To transfer organization ownership:

  1. Navigate to Organization > Settings
  2. Click “Transfer Ownership”
  3. Select the new owner (must be current Admin)
  4. Confirm with your password
  5. The transfer is immediate

After transfer:

  • You become an Admin
  • New owner has full control
  • Billing transfers to new owner

To leave an organization (non-owners):

  1. Navigate to Organization > Settings
  2. Click “Leave Organization”
  3. Confirm the action

Notes:

  • Owners cannot leave (transfer ownership first)
  • Your API keys are revoked upon leaving
  • Resources you created remain

Only the Owner can delete an organization:

  1. Navigate to Organization > Settings
  2. Scroll to Danger Zone
  3. Click “Delete Organization”
  4. Type the organization name to confirm
  5. Enter your password
  6. Click “Delete”

What’s deleted:

  • All databases and data
  • All API keys
  • All member associations
  • Billing subscription (cancelled)

This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

  1. Limit Owners: Have only one Owner per organization
  2. Use Admins sparingly: Only trusted team leads
  3. Default to Member: Most developers only need Member access
  4. Audit regularly: Review member list quarterly
  5. Remove promptly: Remove access when team members leave

When inviting a new team member:

  • Determine appropriate role
  • Send invitation
  • Share relevant documentation
  • Verify they’ve accepted
  • Help them generate their first API key
