Profile & Preferences

Customize your TerraScale account with profile information and personal preferences.


Navigate to Settings in the sidebar to access profile and preference options.


Access profile settings from Settings > Profile.

  1. Navigate to Settings > Profile
  2. Click the Edit icon next to Display Name
  3. Enter your new name
  4. Click Save

Your display name appears in:

  • Organization member lists
  • Activity logs
  • Team notifications
  1. Navigate to Settings > Profile
  2. Click the Edit icon next to Avatar
  3. Enter a URL to your profile image
  4. Click Save

Supported formats:

  • JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP
  • Recommended size: 200x200 pixels
  • URL must be publicly accessible

Tips for avatar URLs:

  • Use Gravatar with your email
  • Upload to a CDN or image host
  • Use GitHub avatar URL

Email changes require support assistance for security:

  1. Contact support@terrascale.io
  2. Verify your identity (current email, organization name)
  3. Provide the new email address
  4. Confirm via link sent to both addresses

Access preferences from Settings > Preferences.

Choose your dashboard appearance:

Bright interface with white background. Best for well-lit environments.

To change theme:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Preferences
  2. Select your preferred theme
  3. Change applies immediately

Set your local timezone for accurate date/time display:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Preferences
  2. Select your timezone from the dropdown
  3. Click Save

Timezone affects:

  • Dashboard timestamps
  • Invoice dates
  • Activity logs
  • Scheduled operations

Configure email notifications:

To update notification preferences:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Preferences
  2. Toggle each notification type
  3. Click Save

Set the default region for new databases:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Preferences
  2. Select your preferred region
  3. Click Save

This region will be pre-selected when creating new databases. You can always choose a different region during creation.

Choosing a default region:

  • Select the region closest to your users
  • Consider data residency requirements
  • Check available regions

From Settings > Profile, you can view:

View your account activity:

  • Total databases created
  • Total API keys generated
  • Last login date and location
  • Account age

If you signed up with a social provider, view linked accounts:

To link an account:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Profile
  2. Click “Connect” next to the provider
  3. Authorize the connection
  4. Account is now linked

To unlink an account:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Profile
  2. Click “Disconnect” next to the provider
  3. Confirm the action

Note: You cannot unlink your only login method. Set a password first or link another provider.


To permanently delete your TerraScale account:

Before deletion:

  • Leave or transfer ownership of all organizations
  • Download any data you need to keep
  • Revoke all API keys
  • Cancel any active subscriptions
  1. Navigate to Settings > Profile
  2. Scroll to Danger Zone
  3. Click “Delete Account”
  4. Enter your password
  5. Type DELETE to confirm
  6. Click “Permanently Delete Account”
  • Your user account and profile
  • All personal data
  • Session and login history
  • Notification preferences
  • Organization data (if you transferred ownership)
  • Shared resources remain with the organization
  • Audit logs are retained for compliance

After requesting deletion:

  • 7-day grace period before permanent deletion
  • Log in during this period to cancel
  • After 7 days, deletion is irreversible

Request a copy of your personal data:

  1. Navigate to Settings > Profile
  2. Click “Export My Data”
  3. Select data types to include
  4. Click “Request Export”
  5. Download link sent to your email

Export includes:

  • Profile information
  • Preference settings
  • Activity history
  • Organization memberships

Export does not include database contents (use API for data export).
